GitLab and GitHub have always been compared over their functionalities since they are similar products which utilise Git and offer web-based Git repository hosting services for source code management, continuous integration and continuous delivery(CI/CD) and collaboration among developers. Below is the trend comparison from Google Analytic. Although the search frequency for GitLab is lesser, it comes as a strong and emerging open source competitor.
In this article, I will share my experience of installing GitLab Enterprise Edition (EE) in RHEL.
Prerequisite
- REDHAT DEVELOPER ACCOUNT
- Register an account here.
- If you encountered password error, probably your password has special character. In this case, you may want to change the password or using the activation key.
